Project Details

Air conditioned Literacy Center building with classroom-lecture space, restrooms, break room, storage and covered porch area. The building is of wood construction with open wood trusses, rafters and standing seam metal roofing. This education building was designed to resemble an 1800's "cracker" style barn and shall be located within a historic preserve which shall also include the recreation of a late 1800's homestead, an arboretum for historic trees, a replica of a Civil War campaign bridge, nature trails and boardwalks. An existing cracker style house was also restored and maintained on-site.
