Founders Hall was one of the first four buildings constructed at the inception of the University of North Florida. Founders Hall was partially remodeled many times since it was first constructed in 1972 and added onto in 1974. This project included the complete gutting and renovation of all interiors to accommodate new facilities for student counseling, the women's center, academic testing, student affairs, the Academic Center for Excellence and Career Services among others. It achieved LEED Silver Certification.
