This project added multiple structural engineering research bays and a workshop to the existing Powell Lab for the Department of Civil and Coastal Engineering. Included were three multi-purpose bays, a 1/3 scale model home bay, a “Shake Table” bay for earthquake simulation and a 120 ft. long wind tunnel, the largest hurricane research wind tunnel in North America.
